Christmas Eve 2008

Yes... I am finally getting around to this. Hooray! We spent Christmas Eve at Mom and Dad Thurgood's house. Everyone was there, so we had tons of fun. We did the usual thing: had TONS and YUMMY food; acted out the Nativity; sang Christmas songs; told Christmas stories; and exchanged gifts. New this year, we had the grandchildren display a talent. I'm not posting all the pictures, but we have some very talented kids! It was so much fun, just like always. And our family is getting huge! There were 27 of us plus one on the way... needless to say, it was crowded.

Levi opening his gift from cousin Carson. Lightening McQueen... what boy doesn't love Cars?

Madi, the oldest grandchild with Brinley, the youngest.

Levi's talent: throwing a ball. Of course, I got the before and after, but never could quite catch him in the act.
My niece Kailey... talk about flexible!
Sam with our nephew Bronson. Both were shepherd's in our reenactment.
Me with my kids! I love them!
Our narrators: Jared (my brother) and Madi (niece)
A few of the grandkids: Logan (wiseman), Jace (shepherd), Kailey (Mary), Jackson (Joseph), Savannah (angel)
Cutie Parker as a shepherd
Brinley's "1st Christmas" outfit that Grandma Thurgood gave her. She was so small that even the newborn outfit drowned her. She was still in preemie clothes at this point.
Sam and Levi as shepherds. I was the pianist (along with my sister Lacey).
The sweetest little shepherd!
Levi and cousin Carson (and cousin Parker, who didn't make this picture) LOVE to play in Grandma and Grandpa's fireplace. All the grandkids have loved to do this, and they have cleaned out the fireplace over the years... surprisingly though, there is still some soot left, because they always end up dirty!
